Sendai City Jomon Site Park is a facility that conserves and utilizes
the Jomon period village ruins which were discovered in the 'Yamada-Uenodai
Site' located in Taihaku Ward, Sendai City.
Outdoors, there is a Jomon village with reconstructed pit dwellings and storage pits, and an open field to make earthenware or cultivate plants. A forest has been reconstructed by arranging ko-nara oak (quercus serrata) and chestnut trees, and a Jomon period village has been recreated together with the surrounding environment.
While viewing this restored village, visitors can relive the Jomon Period through various workshops.
